Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

AHE is committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion at every level of healthcare.

AHE upholds and values the fundamental need to appreciate all of our innate differences, unique qualities and broad-based perspectives. This commitment is not only embedded in AHE’s bylaws but the cornerstone of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee.

The DEI committee recognizes the contributions and supports the advancement of all because of the shared strength in our diverse races, ethnicities, national origins, gender identities, religions, ages, sexual orientations and abilities. Environments that foster belonging and psychological safety correlate with increased quality care, which positively affects the healthcare organization, its business, staff retention and the health of its community.

The DEI committee brings value to its healthcare leadership community through the provision of educational, training, mentoring and networking opportunities to increase representation of its diverse membership at all levels of leadership within AHE and the healthcare industry.
